Jeans Pockets

It's amazing what you could find in the back pockets of your jeans sometimes... in the middle of the day in Ramadan I reach into my back pocket and this is what i find! ... It's a bill for AL-Shahrour one of my favorite restaurants back home. It's got everything I can ever dream of for Fatoor on it ! The only thing that is missing it some Tabooleh which is strange because I always have something green to eat there.

Simple Life

As part of observing Ramadan you usually take a late night meal "Suhoor". Mine tonight is pretty simple and delicious. It simply consists of Zayt (Oil in general, Olive Oil with a hint of Balsamic vinegar in my case) ans Za'atar. A simple must-try light meal in the middle east if you ever ended up being there!

Freej is a Gulf arabic word for "neighborhood" it is also the title for an animation show which is in it's second year of production this year ...
Ramadan is a reason for TV shows around the middle east and while most of my friends love Gulf Drama shows I personally find them boring and repetitive. But this show is another story .... I can't get enough of it ..

فطور اول يوم

مع القصه المكرره كل سنه حول رؤيه هلال رمضان ....
و بما اني في نيوزلاندا و عايش في قوقعتي ...
قررت اني اكتشف متى ينولد الهلال بالطرق الفلكيه ...

و اليوم كان اول يوم صيام عندي ...

عموما سوينا طبخه عجيبه بالمناسبه ...

باستا بالدجاج و صلصه الطماطم مع فول اخضر و فاصوليا و جبنه المازوريلا الطازج مع زيت الزيتون و خل البلسمك ...

طلعت الطبخه فضيعه ...
